45M Trail Run @ Hotfoot Hampster. Hot Race today! Set out with record pacing on the Five/Three protocol and held up strong through three full rounds. However, by the fourth and fifth rounds the Sun was in peak position and there was no cloud cover until 3:30-4pm. Had to slow the pace just to keep the HR under control in the heat. Original plan was to do the full 24 hours of this race, but decided to stop at the 12 hour mark because I was too overheated. Loved the location and flatness of the race, but would have needed cooler weather to hold out for the full 24.
