47M Trail Run @ Estrella. Set out today to complete the 100M Coldwater Race – This was my first time attempting this distance at Estrella. Course was comprised of 2 Red Loops (each 10M) followed by 3 Blue Loops (each 27M). Lots of rolling hills, rocky terrain, and sandy washes. My running held up through 45M but my walking pace fell off too much towards end of loop 3 that I would have missed the cut-off on Loop 4. Been dealing with an injury to my lower right leg for past 2 weeks (no clue where it came from) that inhibited my pacing strategy all day. Perfect weather, just not in the cards for today.
